This episode also provides a partial explanation for why Corwin wigged so badly when Nathan's son mentioned "Uncle Harold"; she's suspected at least since 2009 that there was someone out there who knew about the machine that she could not account for, due to Nathan's slip about "eight" people. And if, as it appears, she bailed on government service herself sometime after sending Reese and Stanton out after the maybe-connected-theft in Ordos (I'm just guessing, but it makes sense that they may have tried to prune her off as unnecessary around the same time as Nathan died; Peck's dialogue about her office being shut down for a year but his report still running through it seems to support that) then any person left in that select group is, from her POV, a specific threat to her continued existence as well as a potential leak about the Machine. Finding out that Nathan had a BFF/"brother" figure she didn't know about would have confirmed that for her. And that it's turned out to be the Creator! Must be dredging up a lot of hell for her. It'll be interesting to see if she comes down for or against the Team; I'm hoping for.

Good point about Corwin's potential belief that Finch could be a threat to her, especially if someone tried to eliminate her before.
