car troubles, Mothers' Day and fic recs (three totally unrelated things make a post)
I was going to see The Avengers yesterday, but I was having car troubles. Figured it out finally; it appears I have a leak in my radiator. By the time I managed to get some coolant and put it in the system, it was too late to go to the movies. Ah well. Maybe tomorrow after work? Just because I need to see it before I end up accidentally spoiling myself for even more information about it.
Although possibly my car will be in the shop to get the leak fixed tomorrow, so maybe not.
It's Mothers' Day in the US; I hope it's been a good one for all the mothers out there. Oh dear... suddenly Tom Lehrer's song that mentions motherhood just popped into my head. Now that's just wrong. Here's a link! Oedipus Rex. *cackles evilly* *feels guilty*

By blacktop50, Confidential; also focuses on that photograph. Carter's POV about Reese's reaction. Slight Carter/Reese. PG. Interesting how the same photo inspired two such different stories.
By lyssie, Song to the Siren, one possible backstory for Grace. Some Grace/Harold Finch. PG-13. I like how it negotiates a fine line--the two of them don't ever make an easy, sweet couple, and yet the connection is very real.
