A part of me wonders if Elias didn't already have a plan laid for when he ended up in prison! Like, maybe he's all right with running the ENTIRE OPERATION from behind bars? After all, wtf can non-corrupt cops do to him if he's already locked up?
It's why a part of me wishes that he'd just get shot in the face. A dead Elias can no longer hurt the people on the show.
I DID NOT NOTICE THAT OMG. (also, it's so hard to not ship it when he does things LIKE BRING HER GIANT GUNS AND AMMO AND EXPLOSIVES instead of saying "you go hide now, and I'll protect you with my manliness")
Also, I am so worried about Fusco, and Carter's trust in him being broken (I'm also curious about why the machine hasn't appeared to view any of them as threats/why they've backed off that--or is that what the next few episodes will be about?)

YES. Guns as presents--he knows what she likes!
Carter and Fusco as buddy cops are just so doomed. :(
Hm, we didn't actually get much Machine POV this time around.
And the handholding gif was fantastic! I was expecting it to be the other touching scene, the one in the diner just before Reese hands over that gigantic gun he reaches across the table to touch her hand to stop her from leaving. I'm losing count of all the hand touching for these two. But let's at least include the various telephone passes -- first when Reese recruits Carter in the coffee shop, than after he rolls out of the fireball car and she passes him a call from Finch, third when they are on the rooftop and she gives him the phone to take a call from Elias. Each time they manage to brush fingers and exchange long looks. The show runners have to be telling us something with all this. Also, big ole gun indeed! And I liked the way Carter kept looking at that gun and thinking of Reese and feeling reassured and not alone, awwww!
THAT WINK. Much more of that and I'll be joining the Carter/Reese shippers myself! Hee! Yeah, apparently resistance is futile, at least for me. I really didn't want to feel quite this shippy about them, but they're sort of irresistible. (I still don't expect the show to go that route, however.)
(By the way, was I the only one who was kind of hoping that Reese was hiding in the suit of armor? :-) )
*laughs* I have to admit that it never occurred to me. Though Finch might have a camera and audio feed hidden inside of it...

LYS! Did you see the link I added in about hand-touching? How am I supposed to stay away from shipping Carter/Reese when there is hand-touching?!

Heh, yeah, I have to admit to being amused at the reassurance factor of big ol' gun. "I'm not as alone as you think." Awww, indeed.
