BSG 4.15

Lalalala, Spring Break! That's why I'm commenting everywhere! And posting excessive stuff!

Just rewatched Battlestar Galactica 4.15 "No Exit." One of the best season four episodes. ( spoilers )

writing, bsg

oh right. Remix. *looks shifty* I should, um, get on that.

About Ishay, I don't know if the show MEANT to imply that, but the editing certainly does. But otoh, 4.5 seems to have a lot of strange editing choices in general, and it wouldn't really surprise me to find out there's a snippet of Cottle and Hodgman surprised by a sudden decline that they left out thinking it wasn't important and not realizing/caring what its absence suggested. It could be a case of a last minute change, too- as we know there was some discussion of Sam awake in Someone to Watch Over Me, so it may reflect a change of mind to make him NOT wake up and make it more permanent and hopeless, rather than a possibility. Like, maybe they thought doing the hybrid thing would've been even worse if there'd been a chance for him to wake up, so this way it plays that it's the only option besides irreversible coma.

Though in her defense, it does strike me as odd that she wouldn't have just killed him if she was going to do something; overdose/air bubble in the i.v. something like that would kill him and I don't know that anyone would look closely. Unless she intended to kill him and got the coma instead.

Which are all very reasoned words when my ENTIRE BRAIN IS CRYING. SAAAAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMMMM. *tears*

SAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMM indeed. At least he was awake for most of the episode. If I go ahead and watch the next one, that'll change.

Remix... last year's was so easy! Of course, the main problem is that shiny new fandom has EATEN MY BRAIN and I don't want to focus on BSG stuff.

Straight death wouldn't have been enough suffering for what he (and the rest of the FF, by extension) had done. Not to mention, I don't think she likes Kara much, either. And it's something a lot easier to go "well, prognosis wasn't certain" whereas overdose/air bubbles/asphyxiation would all be detectable via autopsy or observation afterwards. (if people were suspicious enough)

Otoh, maybe she couldn't bring herself to KILL him outright, either.

(why have I put so much thought into this, idek)

That was my thought as well.
