I'm having such a hard time getting my brain to shut up about the possible OOC-ness and plot-holes. But I want shippy not-fix-it fic to exist, too. *torn*
Hey, since you're enabling, tell me your opinion: do you think Carter could/would track Reese's whereabouts by using his cell phone number?
Usually it's Reese having trouble figuring out where Finch is/what he's up to. (I keep wondering if Finch had any idea Fusco was trailing him or not... and I don't know if we're ever going to get the answer to that question.)
It wouldn't be all that hard, I don't think; a Chicago cop went onto his own iPhone and used a tracking application to find the location of a recently stolen cell phone, for example. And the show's own relationship with technology is, uh, sketchy at best. Magic cell phones that do wonders and then suddenly can't do anything!
Though it would be a lot easier to track Reese if he just used Foursquare. But that ventures away from implausible to complete crack. Someone should write that.
Yeah, that's pretty much what Finch does, tracks the GPS. But Reese is always losing his phone, getting it broken, having to drop it in a bucket of water.... Although I notice we have yet to have a battery die (like what happens to the REST of us!).
But that ventures away from implausible to complete crack. Someone should write that.
LOLz. Yeah, and then Snow could just see where Reese was checking in!
Although I notice we have yet to have a battery die (like what happens to the REST of us!). *laughs* Yeah, that would be too mundane, I suppose. But very realistic.
I don't know! I've been trying to figure that out. We know Finch introduced himself to Zoe as "Harold," though, so it's possible that he tried that. But with Reese around using the name Finch all the time, I'm gonna say she probably knows.
eta: so she refers to him as "your friend" in that scene, maybe it's because she knows that he uses aliases all the time. Burdett, Finch, possibly she's run across another one in the seven weeks (assuming air date = actual time frame) they've worked together.
Okay, so I'm rewatching stuff and in 1.12 Finch calls Carter's phone, she asks, "Who is this?" and Finch replies, "You know who, detective." Because Finch is Voldemort. Though that's the first episode where she's actually involved as part of the team, so I'm still thinking that she has to know more than just the name Burdett after two months.
Dooooooooo iiiiiiiiiit.
<--not an enabler at all O:-)

Heh, FInch has trouble tracking Reese, what makes you think Carter would have more luck with only police resources to work with? *chuckles*

Should Reese and Carter be hand-cuffed together, or should I save that lovely cliche for another day?

2000 words? That's like two weeks of writing for me. *glares jealously* But fic, so... *stops glaring*
