It's more fun to dress up and hand out candy than it was to dress up and collect candy. Another benefit: less stomach-ache later!
I'm wearing a witch costume, by the way. And offering boiled frogs' eyes, which is disconcerting to most of the children. I'm only offering them verbally; no frogs were harmed in the making of this post. And only to children old enough in theory to get that it's not a serious offer. ("Want some boiled frogs' eyes?" "Um... yes?")
One dashing Indiana Jones told me that normally he wouldn't take candy from a witch, but he'd make an exception for me. Heeeeee!
A quick TV observation: Once Upon a Time is very pretty, a bit silly in its own serious way, and on my list of shows to continue watching.
That last episode of Person of Interest snagged me in a fannish way. I'm tempted to write Catwoman/Batman Zoe Morgan/John Reese fic right now. She can call him John and he'll call her Ms. Morgan in that rumbly voice.
