I LOVE Bend It Like Beckham! Awesome movie. And yes, her speech at the end -- I remember being really impressed at the time that she (and the movie) didn't just use a loophole when her friend offered to get 'engaged' to her to pacify her parents. She stood up honestly for what she wanted.
Bend it Like Beckham is one of my favourite movies ever. I am an old fan of Coronation Street(Britian's number 1 soap and an after school fave for CBC here in Canada) so I had a somewhat easier time understanding the characters but even I got lost sometimes. Jess is my favourite I wish Parminder Nagra was getting more work lately it sucks how few roles their are for minorities.
