quick fanfic recs for Battlestar Galactica
I am very full of German food. Tried a Bavarian restaurant and it was quite tasty, except that I don't really like caraway. It was used abundantly in the sauerkraut. (I also don't like coriander. Or fennel. But those two spices weren't so relevant this evening.) And now I have to run around and do errands that I didn't get done yesterday or earlier today. Real life is... always there, isn't it? Hmph.
nicole-anell wrote a fantastic Battlestar Galactica post-finale ficlet with Kara and Leoben (as my Halloween treat, yay!). So go read it!
Here are a three more post-finale fics about Leoben that I liked. Specifically about Leoben (maybe), not just random Twos. I think I've written enough random Two fic (and tried making them into real boys) to last a very long time...
Halloween seems an appropriate time to remember that Leoben has been a favorite character of mine, just because he's inherently sinister. I was rereading "Prophecy" on Halloween and thinking, "Whoa, I'm kinda creeping myself out here, and I wrote this." Hee!
Echo/Narcissus, by jeeshee. Leoben sits by the river and watches.
Patterns in the Blood, by
ariafic. A tale of Kara Thrace and her special destiny.
River to the Sea, by grav_ity. Wherever he goes, Leoben starts a religion. Nice homage to the amazing women on the show, by the way. (You can read in the comments which women are mentioned, since they're not referred to by name. It's interesting to try guessing first.)
Speaking of that, back to favorite fictional females in the next post.
