REMIX!

Apr 08, 2009 23:06

Theoretically I should be asleep right now. But I made the mistake of watching 'just one' episode of Lost after youth group at church tonight and, uh... then I had to watch the other one that was available online. (Fic of Doom is needing to simmer anyway*.)
*over 6000 words, still going... and going

Haven't seen today's episode yet. I'll be watching it tomorrow. I just have to say, though: circular time-travel mind-bendy stuff that includes actual discussion of the circular time-travel mind-bendy stuff is totally awesome. Woohoo!

And then I got the excellent news that bsg_remix is a go! Expect posts about it in LJ comms over the next few days. In fact, I may ask some of you to help me spread the word to comms that you're linked to and I'm not. (Because I'm sadly lacking in posting rights to any and all Kara/Lee comms, for example. Same with Roslin/Adama and a lot of the character-specific comms and so forth.)

Here's what we're posting everywhere in a haphazard way:

Ah, spring. Rain, flowers, showers, and Remix!

Well, not THE Remix. Not the big multi-fandom one. But the BSG Remix! Come on- you know you want to play.

(Yes, this remix challenge and these rules are completely based on the Remix (remixredux08 being the most recent) run by musesfool and her cohorts. We thank them for their brilliance.)

What the frak is a Remix?

Have you ever read a fic and thought to yourself: that was so good, I wish I'd written it? Of course, if you had you would have done a few things differently. Have you ever wished that more people would write the kind of fic you like to read? Or have you ever done the multifandom Remix challenge, and wished there was more BSG fic in it? Then this challenge is for you. You'll have the opportunity to try your hand at re-imagining someone else's work, while also giving them a chance to re-imagine yours.

After all, what else is our BSG but the ultimate Remix?

Details and sign-up here. You have until April 20 to decide to join in!

lost, all hail my modly powers, writing, bsg
