Lesson of the week

Jan 06, 2011 20:00

Night before last I was doing a dogs nails and managed to get the dremel stuck in my hair. Needless to say I had to get a hair cut yesterday, it turned out really good. I still can't believe I did that.

I taught a 101 obedience class on Tuesday night, and it turned out well. Tazie and I start taking our Rally class on Saturday. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I've been so nervous since the bite that one of our clients, and then he bit a coworker that leaned over him and tried to pet him.

Now if he goes to work with me, he has to stay in a crate in the front office beside me so that I can make sure that no one else tries to touch him. Even though I've told everyone not to touch him, and after a year of working there you would think that everyone that works with me would know, he doesn't like strangers to touch him. There are only a few people at work that he likes and will willingly go to.

I wish that I could figure out how to help him. I have thought about putting him on prozac but I'm not sure that is what he needs. I hope that working him in Rally will help give him more confidence and help him, and hopefully help me get a better training relationship with my dog.

rally, puppy love
