So we had our neighbor Katharine, and her dog Marley over for dinner tonight. It was great! Dinner was wonderful thanks to the ever amazing chef
xtown_traffic that I was lucky enough to fall in love with. He made scalloped potatoes, sautéed boneless pork chops, and curried mushrooms. Then he made this heavenly almond cake that he decided to cut in half and put a layer of fresh whipped cream and diced strawberries then put the other half of the cake back on top of it. It was divine!
We got off to a rocky start with the pups. Taz didn't want to share his house and his daddy and mummy and his toys with Marley. The funny part of it is that Marley is a pup still. He is less than a year old and almost 60 lbs, where as Tazie is 2 1/2 and only 20 lbs. Tazie is laid back and more mature, but Marley is puppy all the way. He is so full of energy and wants to play all the time.
At first Tazie was having nothing to do with Marley and snapping at him a lot, and spent the first hour under his daddy's chair. Then Marley proceeded to pull out every one of Tazie's toys to play with them. Of course Tazie couldn't let this go on, so he started playing with Marley. They wrestled and jumped and ran all over the living room. Katharine was happy that Marley was getting to play with another dog and we were happy Tazie was being playful.
Overall the night was a huge success. We both said we would have to do it again.
With the Tazie puppy being missing, I went looking for him. Upon finding him I just giggled. Not only is he passed out on our bed, but he is passed out on the bed, UNDER the covers! When I told
xtown_traffic he says, "Tazie will say.. Mummy, in my bed".
We have to tell him three or four times a night to "Go get in your bed Tazie".
