Thanks! Writing it took some of the sting out of what's coming :(

Nice! :-) There is definitely something preemptively therapeutic about Ten-regeneration fics.

I hope that's the case when it happens, that *someone* is there with him, whether it be Jack, Donna, Martha... It would be so tragically ironic for Ten to die alone. And while I love angst, still...

Thank you :) And I love the icon. Ten + kitten = double awwwws!

Yes, somebody needs to be with Ten. But, knowing RTD, I wouldn't count on it. Bastard.

Reading this again, it still hurts. I definitely don't want the Doctor to die all alone, but chances are that he will, and no matter what happens, after I watched the episode in question I'll probably read this story again, for comfort. Even though it's quite painful comfort food. You did too good a job of describing the Doctor's process of dying.

Thank you. I do want readers to feel something. And I like the idea that it'll be more comforting after seeing the episode. (I'm prepared to throw things at the TV set while pretending it's RTD.)

That sounds like a very good plan.

It would be good, wouldn't it, for Jack to help the Doctor become a better man - like he did for Jack.

Yes, it would. I'd like to see them travel together again -- the Doctor and Jack getting to know Eleven at the same time.
