A Tale of Three Kitties

Oct 19, 2015 04:16

Guess what?

B and I are adopting the cats of a cousin of mine who sadly passed away several weeks ago. His sister (who lives in New Mexico) cleverly e-mailed me several photos of the trio while I was trying to decide if it was a good idea to do so. It worked.

Jillian (top), Rudy (center), and Jackson

Four-year-old Jackson and Jillian were taken in as feral kittens by my late cousin and his wife. They are inseparable.

Jillian is the shyer of the two. She likes to sleep on the very top of the cat tree.

With or without company.

Eight-year-old Rudy showed up as a tiny kitten stuck in a tree (the outdoor kind of tree).

Yes, that is a countertop. No, I don’t know how you get away with that…

Rudy: MY TUMMY, LET ME SHOW YOU IT

……well, that’s one way.

The cats are currently living at their ranch in the town of Coarsegold, which is about forty miles north of Fresno. We’ll be driving up next weekend for a rendezvous (the second part of a relay) to bring them back down…

I’ll have the orange tabby sandwich on tabby bread, with a mouse on the outside

…into our home, and into our hearts.

Photos are by my late cousin, except for the one of the boys in their boxes, which was taken by his sister.
