I am severely depressed. Writing isn't going well and I'm still stuck in the same rut. So, pretty much the same. At least I did start my exercise regimen again last week. Results already noticeable. It should be when I had put back on 20 pounds. Yeah, I've been really fucking depressed.

How goes it there with you, doll?

I'm so sorry :( Depression is so immobilizing and that makes it worse. I'm really pleased to hear you're getting back on the exercise routine, though, and that you're seeing some results. The exercise itself is bound to help the depression, at least a little. (As you no doubt know.)

And it's a bummer not to be able to write when it's one of the things that makes you feel better.

I'm struggling with depression and anxiety myself (what else is new?), although in my case it's mostly anxiety. And I'm still having trouble getting myself to take the pills at night that make me less anxious about going to sleep, because I'm anxious about going to sleep and don't want to take them. Sheesh.

How are your allergies? Better, I hope.

Do you still have your flock?

And how about another posting war? Whatever might help. Cuteness? Yuckiness? WTFness? Or maybe one of us can feed the other a word or phrase to image-google and post some of what comes up?

My dust allergies are still bad. It doesn't rain much here and in florida, no rain means desert environment. Sahara sandstorm type. The other day, I had to take a benadryl to wake up and feel better, my breathing was so affected. It lasted about 2 hours then I crashed after being awake for 8 hours. Lovely, huh?

I am in the middle of trying to sell off most of the birds I hatched. Everybody and their brother wanted some ducklings after easter weekend. A month later, no one who wanted one showed up at my yard sale. You can't give them away for half the price they're worth. I made a posting on craigslist over a month ago. They were 2 weeks old, I was desperate because they were eating me out of house and home. 4 a piece or 30 for the whole lot of 10. I lose the posting because fucking yahoo deletes things that you don't check to highlight but unfuckinghelpfully highlights for you, and you are still hitting the delete button to remove what you did highlight. You check 4 emails out of 30 and hit delete. Nothing happens for 2 minutes. You click it again, and again, and again. 2 minutes after that, Yahoo says "Oh, you're trying to delete something? Let me delete that for you, then highlight the next email for no fucking reason, because you wanted me to highlight it, right? Also, you hit the delete button more than once, so I'm going to assume you ( ... )

Damn! Farming must be really frustrating sometimes, what with your success rate and the amount you can sell your product for going up and down so unpredictably. When we still had the farm (in the Oklahoma panhandle, and inherited by B and his brother, so we'd get some income from it every year), we -- and the family actually farming it -- could never be sure what the income would be. (Luckily we weren't significantly dependent on it, but it was nice to get the occasional income.)

Screw Yahoo, and screw the people trying to take advantage of you. Also, screw your fussy hens. (Are you able to at least get some of the eggs away from the hens and incubate them yourself? Or this that something that doesn't work out?)

Also, go suck Mama June's syphillis ridden rotted cunt made me laugh much harder than I should have :D ( ... )

Oh, I had one hen who went broody on me, a good laying hen and a good brooder, I gave 9 eggs. She got off them and the other hens saw her nest and said "HEY! A NEST! LET'S GET CRACKEN ON LAYING MORE! BA-GOK!" I put in caps because those fuckers laid 8 more in 1 hour on that nest alone. She hatched out 10, 7 have made it to 10-11 weeks. I can't remember their hatching date. They are in the main chicken pen (which we expanded to over 2800 square feet) so they are going to survive. My cousin gave me 3 more hens and a rooster. He will replace the rooster we currently have when he's old enough. If there are roosters with the babies I hatched, they won't survive for long. I won't even grow them enough to let people have them. I'm just going to snap their fucking necks and put them under plants. I have had it with roosters. Over 30 in 2 years, probably closer to 40. That's half the birds I've had survive to maturity. Roosters are supposed to be 3/10 in a clutch. Mine have been 3/5 most clutches ( ... )

Oh, terrific. At least you got some sleep, not that that's much comfort. When I had the Year of Hives (another story in itself), the only thing that helped to any real degree was to take as much benadryl as was safe, which mostly helped because it knocked me out. You can't really live like that, though.

Is it usually humid in your part of Florida? It's been unusually hot and dry even for California this year (even up north, where they generally have enough water), but at least the flora and fauna are adapted to the occasional drought and are able to bounce back when the rain finally comes). I'm sure you've heard a bit about the drought in California. (Maybe we'll all learn to actually conserve this time.)

Year of the hives? Reaction to a med?

It is extremely humid. No rain, but plenty of water. If we had atmospheric condensers, there would be a flood.

Eat the rich, and there'll be plenty of water for everyone.
