This is Kit, an orphaned sea otter rescued in 2010 and raised at the Monterey Bay Aquarium. She now lives at the aquarium and acts as a surrogate mother for other orphaned otters. Meet Our Sea Otters

This is Otter 501, another orphaned sea otter. She was also raised at the aquarium, but learned how to survive in the wild with the help of another otter, surrogate mother Toola, and was successfully released into Elkhorn Slough.
