Fishing cats are not easy to photograph in the wild. (And good for them!) These photos, from a nature reserve in Sri Lanka, were taken by the cats themselves as they crossed a light beam which tripped the camera shutter.
And a video by hidden camera, filmed at Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park in Thailand as part of a study.
This fishing cat and her kitten reside at the National Zoo in Washington DC.
