It's probably pretty much epitomises my halloween this year to say that the first line of Nightmare Before Christmas has been striking me as hideously filthy and a rather dodgy chat up line. I'm not sure if this is due to having my head snatched off by a vengeful goddess (not vengeful at me specifically you understand, just a goddess who's partially one of vengeance) - working too hard or the last weekend being totally orgy-tastic. Possibly a fine combination of all three that has left me shattered, back achey and my knees still not functioning but altogether rather pleased with myself and not just because i bagged me a Graverobber. Yum....
So yes, the first half of my holiday season was the half where i suffer from pre samhein blues, Samhein blues and post Samhein blues in a quick succession that lasts forever, with the crying and the hopelessness and the insisting to myself and everyone that this is the last tme i let myself get sad about all this stuff really honest it is. Then there's the serious ritual part where I get to feel enormous, looking down at all the timy people for half an hour and then come back down from that feeling tiny and having to go to work. Meep.
Hence i have more fun with the Halloweeny part of the season, the part with the costumes and the glowsticks and the dancing in the dark. Don't think anyone recognised the Delirium costume for what it was and i was told i looked like a little marshmallow in the Amber which wasn't quite the effect i was going for....but then i saw the pictures and realised i was cute after all, even if i am the world's shortest Amber Sweet....and next to a Graverobber who was over 6ft i guess i can excuse the marshmallow comment. So yeah, that was a good night even if i do now have leg pain three days later and my neck looks like it's been savaged by at least three different people - hmm, funny thing that.... i blame Weegee. And yes dear, i know i'm not allowed to call you Weegee. *Sticks tongue out in Magister Cain's direction*.
Need sleep now. oh so much sleep.....
