Board Games

Family Time!

I love board games - they can get the whole family involved.

Recently, we played "CSI: crime Scene Investigation".
It was .... okay.
A bit slow and messy, cause we had to keep referring back to the rule book.
And only 8 playable 'levels'/scenarios.   Who cares?  It's fun!  Once we understood the rules.

Personally, I like CLUE better - the board game with six people, six weapons, and nine rooms, from which any can be the ones who did Mr. Body in.
I vaugely remember an older version of the modern CLUE series - don't remember how big that mansion was, or how many rooms, pretty sure it had a garden, patio, gazebo and more sites outside for clues to the murder to be found.  And more suspects to play as.

As a whole, the family prefers Monopoly - not the electronic version (which is nice enough, but harder to 'cheat' and make under-the-table-bargains with other players), but the really old ones, that my dad grew up with.
Some of us like Parcheesi (SP), but with only four player options, not the best choice.

Chinese Checkers is good - but regular checkers can be just as fun.
Brother likes Chess.  None of the rest of us play against him - we can't win.
Rumecube is fun too - but again, only four playable slots available.

Sorry is fun - except the board fell apart.  Too bad.
LIFE is fun, except we keep on loosing the pieces - (and the spinner is constantly sticking now).

Apples to Apples may be the new family favorite, now that we don't all fit around the tiny dinning room table.

family, holidays, life
