Busy, Busy, Busy week

December and November are hectic, hectic, hectic.

It seems that the world says rush, rush, rush, the closer to Thanksgiving it is, and doesn't want to give anyone time to be with family or friends.

Work demands 'be here, now, be fast,' School demands 'pay attention, now', and family wonders 'where are you? Why aren't you here, with us?'

Not easy balancing two of the three - let alone all three or more.
Traveling is not in the plans.

I'm just glad the Christmas Programs/Plays are over.   Well, two of three.  Those two mother directed, (after spending two to three months with her elementary students, helping them with the songs - Kindergardners are so cute on stage, First Graders can enunciate the hard words better, Second Graders have great volume, Third Graders control pitch and breath support, etc), and for the last one, Mother is a singer in the choir.
Still, it's practice, practice, practice, that eats away at time, energy, and availability.

New changes in work schedules as holiday hires learn the ropes and can be given more space to assist, instead of hovering and/or asking questions about procedures they haven't come across yet.

School will be let out soon - just in time, I say.  Or maybe not soon enough, cause relatives may visit, or grandparents and cousins ask if you can come over this year.  Possibly not late enough, since every day off before Christmas means one day less after New Years.

I have noticed that I've not heard a few songs I've expected to hear.  Yet.
There is still a ways (half a month?) to go until the end of the holiday season.
Maybe those personal favorite Christmas songs will be played later?
Maybe I'm listening to the wrong radio station - at the wrong time.
Perhaps I should just buy a CD and play that nonstop, or use Pandora or ITunes or similar instead of depending on local DJ's to know what I want to hear.

Nope.
Don't have the time to go shopping for non-essentials.
Have Christmas Presents and Birthday presents to buy, wrap and send.  (Or hide and deliver personally)

holidays, viewpoints, life
