NOTES:  An early Father's Day sweet-fic.

"Where is it?"  Two feet stuck out from the crawl space under the bed.  A thump followed by "Ouch", and the feet crawled backwards, revealing jean-covered legs.  "Not that box.  Maybe this one?"

The feet (and the legs) disappeared back underneath.

Something slid on the hard floor, and a dust-covered box slowly emerged from beneath the bed.  "Found it!" crowed the boy delightedly as he pushed the heavy box clear of the mattress above.

"Thanks son"  The dad picked up the box, moved it to the nearby table and helped his teenage son up.  "Couldn't have found it without you."

"Why'd you store it under the bed?  Why not the attic?"  Blackish brown hair was shoved out of the eyes.

"That attic?"  Dad blinked.  "Never thought of it.  Want to help me set up?"

The son smiled.  "Sure!"  This was the first time he'd been asked to help set up the miniature train station and tracks.  He loved watching his dad play with his hobby, and this time, he got to participate, instead of being told "Do Not Touch!"

MORE AUTHOR NOTES:  It is from memories like these that families learn together, work together, and stick together.
I cherish the times I spend with my folks - even if it seems like we 'never' get along. at times.
