Topsy-Turvy
Huh.
Last week, I was needing Christmas music - so I turned the station to a channel that has (as far as I know) been playing traditional Christmas songs since the Day after Thanksgiving … including some (for me) disliked holiday classics.
Today, a mere ten days before Christmas, I have no driving urge to change the station from “regular” non-holiday songs (with occasional seasonal music interjected) to one that plays Christmas themed songs - either continually, or about half the time.
*shrugs*
Might have gotten my fill (for today, anyway) of (imho) overplayed holiday music and seasonal songs. OR
My spirit is needing a temporary break from all the happy wishes of merry holidays and Rudolf, Frosty, Santa and the like.
More likely, I’m too busy to pay any attention to the music playing softly in the background.
Now, if the volume was loud enough to drown out casual conversations, I would likely be noticing the songs, lyrics, music, and all - including dreaded earworm tunes.
