No cure for curse

Went to the movies yesterday.
Decided to watch Malificent - (spoilers for TAoE haven't changed my mind about watching that Bay movie).

It was good.
Not exactly what I was expecting
Come on!  When I heard this was going to explore 'Sleeping Beauty' from the POV of the villainess, I was anticipating an animated movie.
So glad I was disappointed in that regard.

(Will disagree with the opening narration, when the speaker says -there were two realms at war- cause, except for one battle scene near the beginning, and one final battle scene between humans and the fairy folk/magical beings, there wasn't a lot of fighting or war effort).

Did enjoy the fact there was no obvious and explicit blood and gore. Most of the deaths were implied, not on-screen, which I  tend to prefer.  And thought was a good choice for this family-film.

Will I see this movie again?
In all likelihood, yes.  Probably not in theaters, though.
Why do I want to rewatch?  To catch some things I know I missed - stuff I wasn't on the lookout for, too busy trying to figure out how this differs from the Sleeping Beauty movie i remember and loved as a little girl.

Overall, the changes I enjoyed.  Because who doesn't love an evil villain - or bleed for them when they have been so wronged and deliberately harmed?

in theater, viewpoints
