As some of you may or may not know, the state of Indiana is currently a giant puddle.
As of 8:30 this morning, so was my office.
Apparently there was a crack, or two pieces of concrete that weren't level, that the contruction workers just decided to carpet over. Because, if you can't see the problem, it's not there.
Well, when the heavens opened up last night for the millionth time in the last two weeks, the soil, the drainage ponds, and the ditches on the side of the road, simply couldn't absorb anymore. So, the water escaped into our offices. Not the entire building, mind you, just the web department.
EVERYTHING that was on the ground was soaked, I lost some posters, a cardboard box, some random papers. PLUS I almost ate linoleum when I went into the break room to get coffee because my shoes were so wet from the sopping wet carpet.
They vacummed up a bunch of it this morning, so it doesn't SPLASH when I walk now. It's just plain, old wet. I have two fans going in my office, so we'll see if that has any effect.
It'll be fun breathing in all the mold spores during the days to come :D
