A Short Run Done

Apr 06, 2016 10:34

Although I didn't make it out to D.B.R.C. training last night I managed to get out for a lap of Crinstown Cross (4.3 miles) all at a sub 8 minute mile pace so I was happy enough. It was at a strong but not 100% effort.

With the bright evenings back there is no real excuse for me not getting out. The weather is due to take a turn today so it'll probably be raining and possibly thundery when I get home, all the same it would be good if I got out for the same run again tonight.

I have parkrun this Saturday to look forward to and am doing my first Great Ireland Run 10k on Sunday which I would really like to have a good go at.

Thanks to Eoin, I also have a free entry now to the Virgin Night Run on the 22nd of May, throw in the Maynooth Rebellion run and I have quite a few 10ks coming up.

I still need to figure out June. The Donadea 50 mile/100k, the Le Cheile track and Trail and Energia are all on within 4 weeks of each other. If I train properly between now and then I think it would be achievable to do the 50miler in Donadea, the back to back Le Cheile and either the 12 hour or the 100km in Belfast. Its a lot but its doable, that said I would enjoy doing the relay event in Belfast again either. Also there is a family gathering in London the same week as the 50miler in Donadea and given how frequently I pass up on them maybe I should go.

I intend on doing a post up about the Vartry 50mile before its completely out of my head, hopefully I might try it later.
