The Perfect Present

Shou Suzuki is at his wit's end.

Its two weeks to Valentine's Day and he really really really wants to get something for Ritsu but he doesn't know what!

He's already spent the last few days going from shop to shop to find a gift but so far none of the gifts he's seen are ideal. Most of the shops only carry the standard flowers and chocolates and he doesn't think Ritsu would want them.

He already knows that Ritsu always gets plenty of love letters, heart shaped candy and chocolate from the girls in his school all the time. He'd heard Ritsu complain about it before - he usually stores an extra bag in his locker because it always overflows with confessions and gifts on Valentine's Day. When the locker is full, they even lay their gifts on the floor in front of his locker.
Shou had grimaced when he heard that and so, he decides in a snap that he wants something unique, something that will make his gift stand out from the sea of heart shaped anything Ritsu Kageyama might receive on that day.

Its just that he has no clue what that thing could be.
Ritsu seems to have whatever he needs already, and he doesn't seem to want anything at all from what he'd seen and from what he'd heard.

Out of desperation, he'd even tried asking Ritsu what he might prefer out of all the gifts he might receive and why. He thinks Ritsu might like chocolate more than any thing else, given that he always shares any milk chocolate he has with his brother, Shigeo.
Ritsu had just given him a hard stare instead and said "None. Suzuki I don't even like chocolate."

And so panicked, Shou had gone to Teruki for help, because among all his peers Teruki seems like he knows just what he's doing. Well that is, compared to Fukuda, Higashio or Ootsuki or anyone else Shou knows.
Teruki is handsome, worldly and intelligent - he'd even had a bit of a reputation as a heartbreaker of sorts, once upon a time. If he cannot help Shou, no one else can.

"So..." Teruki closed his menu with a snap and put it aside before picking up his coffee mug, eyeing Shou over the rim of his mug. "Mind telling me what's going on?"

Shou had knocked on Teru's balcony doors at first light and dragged a groggy, hapless Teru out for breakfast with him at the little cafe nearest Teru's apartment with nary a word of explanation.

"Well..." Shou drags the word out as he hesitates, suddenly worried that Teru might laugh at him. "It seems like I might need your advice about something that cropped up.."

"Pray tell," Teru said one brow raised before he takes a sip of coffee.
Shou sighs defeated. "I really need to find the perfect gift for Ritsu."
