A Unique Thanksgiving

This was a unique Thanksgiving. My family was supposed to go out to dinner and then to play bingo.

What actually happened:
9:00AM: Everyone calls to bail on dinner and bingo
10:00AM: I call everyone to yell about their bah-humbug attitudes
10:30AM: Thanksgiving is officially un-cancelled
11:00AM: My father decides to bail on dinner, creating a house-of-cards-of-cancelling
11:30AM: I call half the family to yell again.
11:45PM: Thanksgiving is back on minus my father.
12:00PM: My father un-bails.
3:00PM: Dinner! Filet mignon, mashed potatoes, etc.
5:00PM: Retrieve car, drive two blocks, have flat tire due to it being slashed
5:05PM: Much swearing... it's 10 degrees and snowing, the car keeps slipping off the jack due to ice
6:00PM: AAA Arrives to put the spare on
7:00PM: Having missed bingo, my car and I limp home, thankful to be functioning and warm.

It turns out that several cars had slashed tires in that parking lot that night. Score one for stupid bored morons with knives and too much spare time in a blizzard on Thanksgiving.

Even with the tire thing, I'm still glad the family got together for dinner.
