I got a good head start on christmas this year. I have no idea what to do for my mother. Basically she likes clothes and jewelry. My two favorite holidays are Thanksgiving and Easter. mostly because they are about family, God, and celebrating. I love cooking a big dinner for everyone on Thanksgiving. I like the parts of Christmas that focus on God's grace, romance, beauty, and family. The crowded places full of overworked crabby people I can do without. I love lights, tinsel, candles, and the advent season at church. I also love lent as much as I love easter. The time of preparation of heart for the season of rejoicing. I love to seek God during those times. Going to the wilderness to find the voice crying there. I like to pull back, wait, search my heart, and prepare for the coming of the Lord.
