Stay-vay and book covers

Jan 19, 2010 20:01

Today was my first day back at work after a 10 day stay-cation. KP and I hung out around the house, ate, drank, just spent the week together; it was really nice. We went and saw Avatar...meh. We also visited all our bartender friends and drank for free three nights in a row. We bought a second controller for our PS3 and so we can play some games together, but in general I usually read and watched him play...Uncharted really does look like a movie.

So, this morning I arrived at work, rested and prepared to to take on what I would only imagine a very large amount of emails. I had 86...not bad for missing 6 work days. A lot were junk, but one of the emails was from my supervisor informing me that I got a raise! Woot! It's only $900 more a year, but heck yeah!

Also, I came across this great article on book covers. Of course, it made me think about what I wanted with the book covers of my own stories I've written; I think they are good ideas, but I'm no designer (Although if one of the many designer, artist friends would be interested in making a mock up of one of my cover that would be brilliant :)!)

I'm editing Camp Dead End right now and I'm only 40 pages in of 85...I'm shooting for 3 pages of editing a day, but I didn't do much over my break, so I'm behind. SO I should get back to it.
