Open Circle Art from the ashes of THE INK BLOT?

The last couple of months there has been some serious talk about forming an artist cooperative or circle among several of my artistic friends (and a few in particular).  It will be less graphic design oriented than THE INK BLOT was.

THE INK BLOT was a university club that almost became a business.  Some legal issues with how ownership ought be split and insufficient revenue stream to constitute a full-time job ultimately killed it.

In brainstorming for what the new artist circle should be like (presently called "Open Circle Art"), I am reminded of how THE INK BLOT described itself in copy.

THE INK BLOT is an interfused media and information design firm. Our focus is on creating effective promotional designs that are also great works of art.

We formulate uniquely efficient advertising solutions by utilizing our ability to interfuse a multitude of art forms in order to leverage your message to its intended audience. Our creative solutions work because we capture the essence of both your message and your organization through our designs.

THE INK BLOT is a different shape of design.

The first phase (and what one might refer to as capitalization) involves selling of clothing lines, accessories, and paintings at local art fairs.

Meanwhile, I am working on improving my vector art skills and artistic editing skills.  I don't expect that I will be earning a great deal of money at first, but I do expect to have a lot of fun.
