So, I've decided to note down exactly what I love about each of the FF games I've played. Hopefully Square Enix will somehow get hold of this list and use it to produce the PERFECT game! It goes without saying that one of the BEST things about MOST FF games is strong female characters.
FF6
- the story is LONG and VERY involved
- the emergence of the World of Ruin half-way through
- the love letters sidequest is very cute
FF7
- Nanaki's story
- the unexpected death scene
FF8
- drawing and junctioning (yes, I like BOTH!)
- Seifer's story - the loyal henchman who just happens to be on the wrong side
FF9
- Chocobo Hot and Cold
- Vivi's story
FF10
- the religion - and the characters' rejection of it
- the way the whole thing was based on their journey
FF10-2
- the dress spheres
- the story (when you finally get to it!)
FF12
- Gambit System!!!
- depth of characters and story
- not finding money in the stomachs of dead creatures (money is gained by finding it in pots, completing hunts, and selling stuff)
- pirate's den
FF15 (yes, there are some things!)
- the depth and darkness of the central story (it was just handled REALLY badly)
- the food system that gives you buffs
- the FF8-like draw system
So, SE - over to you!
