So, I understood that just the story of FFXV would take a long time (estimates varied from 40 - 60 hours). 20+ hours in, I'm on chapter 5 and probably less than 10 hours have been story. In fact, I'm tempted to say it's more like 6. Also, I'm not sure about replay value because I'm doing the sidequests and hunts as I go. Unless there are lots of secrets that I'm just not stumbling across. For what it is, it's still a good game and I'm enjoying it - but £50?
I have named my chocobo Boris and turned him green. Prompto's is red, Ignis' is white and Gladio's is turquoise. Despite my reservations, I am having a lot of fun with the silly little things like that. I'm currently mopping up a few sidequests before heading back to Lestrallum to meet up with Iris. There are lots and LOTS of things to do and I'm not doing all of them.
I have two summons and actually got to use one in a recent boss fight - eventually. I was pressing L2 but he just wouldn't appear - and then he did. The battle system continues to be horrible - but that was to be expected.
My line manager and I have a plan for moving me forward with project management. I am VERY excited about the new year. Today, I have work and non-work meetings to look forward to - yay!
OK, time for some Tao to finish off...
