Finished 'The ABC Murders' last night. I got most of the awards, including the 'small donkey' for screwing something up. I avoided the 'medium donkey' and 'large donkey' but if I want a full collection, I need to get them :D Not sure the game was worth the money (£23 second hand) but I got it 'free' using my Game points, so it's not too bad. There are a lot of mechanics - observation, manipulating objects, doing thing A so that thing B happens - and the graphics are nice (there was a crab scuttling back and forth on Bexhill beach).
May start 'The Talos Principle' today.
The son and I are going up to the daughter's later. He's house and dog sitting for her while she and the grandson are in Wales, but he isn't sure of his way so I'm baby sitting him to get him there :D So, two quiet weekends and an even quieter week ahead!
And now, on to today's lesson from Lao Tze...
DAY 2 - USING POLARITY
Everything has its opposite, the trick is to stay at the mid-point and not to be drawn into extremes, even on the 'good' side.
I've been practicing this for a while, now, but it's difficult to explain to the family in a way they understand. Which leads to more rows...
It means that I can appear to be in sympathy with people who've done the most horrendous things, or that I think wrong actions are somehow right. My personal conundrum is how to find a way of bringing others into balance.
I also seem to have lent out my copy of 'Tao of Pooh and Te of Piglet' - grumpy Rosa.
