Downs and ups
So, we had a pretty disastrous thing happen that involved the grandson buying in-game money with real money without realising it. It was entirely my fault for having everything linked up on the PS3 and it could have been a whole lot worse - but it could have been very easily avoided. It's an important lesson learned in many ways.
I also found out that I didn't get an interview for that job, which is disappointing. The feedback I got was that there were a large number of applications and that whilst I scored on all the criteria, other candidates scored higher. I did best on the project management stuff and least well on the horizon scanning. I would have had to dredge up some enthusiasm if I had got an interview because it's six weeks since I put the application in and I'm kind of past it, now.
We also have a bit of a problem with the seal on the plug hole in the kitchen sink, which the landlord can't fix until next Thursday. So, a week of being careful when we pour water down the sink *sigh*
JB finally left LJMU on Thursday. I'm really glad for her and it's a great move - but I will miss having her to vent to every five minutes!
Today is our 23rd wedding anniversary. I don't know where the time has gone but I do know we're as close as we've ever been. Love you, dear one! We're going out with the kids and grandson for lunch, so that will be fun.
In very, very, very good news, I've found Fenris in DAII - and he's Balthier! Or, his VA is the same one that did the voice for Balthier. So, he's now a permanent member of my party (enjoying listening to Isabela flirting with him :D ) and I'll be pursuing any romance options. Of course, I'm getting lots of rivalry points because he's VERY anti-mage and I'm VERY pro, but that should just make life interesting.
And I'm doing a talk in church tomorrow about St Bride's as sacred space. I haven't gone into it in any great detail but that gives people scope (and time) for their own discussions.
