So, I decided to take my own advice and go for a new job. There is something that looks interesting in another department that is basically stakeholder management, which sounds right up my street. It's weird because I am by nature an introvert. If I never had to deal with real people for the rest of my life I would be very, very happy. However, I do manage to deal with real people very well.
Anyway, I decided to go for the job on Monday and made a bit of a start on checking through the person spec but then got distracted by work and the need to transfer money and the need to buy a father's day card, so now I only have the weekend in which to write the damned application. But I'm feeling pretty confident about it and we have a grandson-free weekend, so let the words commence.
I finally got round to writing something for the
Black Ships Books challenge and I'm beginning the process of thinking about the next one.
My Surface is finally working properly. I've brought it home for the weekend a) because I had a late meeting yesterday and b) because I want to try to take a decent picture of myself. The camera and I have never been friends *sigh*
I've made a tiny bit of progress with LA Noire but most evenings have been spent with the husband and son or watching Star Trek: Enterprise.
Last Sunday went really well. I still need to write up the comments that people left about what they came up with during their meditations. I just hope the recording comes out because I'd quite like to do it myself.
Met up with P for coffee on Thursday in lieu of the Saving Jesus thing. We actually had a really nice chat. Building bridges isn't so hard.
Right, time to play on fb for a bit and then tackle this application. See you next week, LJ!
