Retrospective

On New Year's Day I did a quick little tarot reading but I couldn't post it because LJ was being weird. So, here it is - better late than never.

I used the Merlin Tarot Deck and I was looking for the lesson that 2012 taught me.

The first card represented the best thing about 2012 and I drew Fortune. I think this indicates a completion of a cycle of Fortune's Wheel - especially in light of the rest of the reading.

The second card represented the worst thing about 2012 and I drew 7 Fish - Humour. I think this indicates that I lost some of my sense of humour about myself, lost perspective. I certainly allowed myself to be drawn into unhealthy behaviours. And the worst of it was that I did it to myself. Also, this wasn't just about 2012 - it had been building for some time. A restoration of my sense of humour reflects back to the first card.

The third and final card represented the lesson of 2012 and I drew Page of Fish. I think this indicates a fresh start, not just temporally but in my life.

I have some reflections on work that follow on from this but I'll save them for the next post.
