Happiness is...
- working out stuff on my own
- having new stuff to learn
- snuggle
So, work has just been insane. Which is good on a day-to-day basis but leaves me with little energy for anything else. It is actually about 2 weeks since I last played FFX-2 - whoever thought I'd say a thing like that?! And it also means that 'Holding...' is once more on hold (so much for a chapter-a-week!). I am going to fight for some study time, though.
What happened was that the Campus Solutions project came a little off the rails and I and a couple of other colleagues were drafted in to help get it back on track. Between people being on leave and various systems not working and my brain not working things haven't gone as well as they might - but I think we all feel we've made progress.
I'm looking at Academic Advisement - basically, the progression engine for the system. I did some work with Frank yesterday and all was well. Today, Ernst suggested I try doing the set-up in a different way and I just couldn't get it to show properly. I've had a cold all week, which clearly wasn't helping my brain! I gave up and came home. After tea and a cup of Beecham's hot blackcurrant I tried logging on at home and managed to get in.
As an aside, this is brilliant news. Even my weedy little netbook managed to run the system! Not that I'm a fan of working from home by any means but sometimes you just need to.
Anyway, I had a really careful look at what I'd set up yesterday compared to what I'd set up today and found... a tick-box I'd forgotten to tick. It was that simple! I'm really glad I worked that out for myself. I'd have felt such an idiot if Ernst had pointed it out tomorrow. I'm not sure I'm a fan of this set-up but at least I've learned something :D
Now I'm going to bed because my nose is bunged up and my sinuses are protesting.
Toodles, LJ!
