Geez, this week is dragging *sigh*
I'm planning on buying some red fishnet hold-ups tomorrow. Just thought you'd like to know :)
Chatted to Paul on the 'phone last night and gave him the Klimt-rant. He said I should swallow my pride because when else will I get the opportunity to see this stuff? I think he may have a point... but I'm not ready to concede it, just yet :D
I've been invited to an open evening for the MA programme I've applied for. The woman who runs Divine Chocolate is going to be there, and there'll be a chance to meet current students. Should be a good night.
Otherwise, life is pretty much OK - which is... OK!
Oh, I may have a little wander 'round Liverpool One (the new shopping mall) tomorrow, just so I can take it in properly. I dashed through on Saturday and was left with an impression of really tall buildings made of glass and metal. One redeeming feature of this monument to capitalism is the viewing window that lets you see down into the original wet dock. It was built of brick would you believe? But it was the thing that kick-started Liverpool's career as a port. It is absolutely huge. I think there may be more viewing windows (either in existance or planned) but I only spotted one on Saturday. As I said, I was in a rush!
Sunday (gardening day) was wet, so I didn't get any weeding done. I did, however, build a mini greenhouse for the remaining chillies and tomatoes, planted some peas (with a cute, frog-shaped trellis for them to grow up when they're big enough - shiny!), and potted up two conifers (one bluey-green which will grow to 12' and one yellow-green and lemon-scented that will grow to 8' - eventually) and a dark-red Japanese Maple (looove acers).
I'm thinking of starting a separate LJ for the garden. I think it deserves a proper plan of action and some pics. Or is there another journalling/blogging site that would be better? All suggestions gratefully received!
Well, bye for now, LJ.
