Yay for holidays

So, next week I'm off work ALL WEEK! Triple yay!!!

I have some nice, reflective, introspective stuff planned - if I can get hold of the books I want. I have a note book to record stuff in, but I may also share on brighid71.

I finally tracked down 'Free as the Stars' and posted it on MySpace. I may dump it in athena71 sometime. It still needs work :( But it helps clarify who Uncle is for nano purposes.

Highlights of this week at work #1 - completing NCBC a full week ahead of time. And this year, we shouldn't have to decommit, since, as far as I'm aware, we captured all of the info the first time round! Now, we just need to do the process review - which we can't start on because we still don't know what the difference between a collaborative programme and enterprise activity is, so we don't know what's left over that would be non-credit bearing. *triple sigh*

Highlights of this week at work #2 - the cute guy from Education offering to get on his 'hands and needs' for me :D

I got ROTK back on Wednesday, and am now ready to watch it, having completed FOTR & TTT including appendices. I enjoyed TTT more than FOTR, at least this time round. I found myself just watching it and not noticing the special effects (especially the scale trickery) quite so much. And Gollum is just such a beautiful piece of work - both visually and in terms of script. In fact, everything about all the films is beautiful - the layers and layers of detail just blow my mind every time. I'm looking forward to ROTK; Merry and Pippin's journeys are so heartwrenching. I like them in the book, too. They may be my favourite characters - although I love Eowyn, too (and the film version of Arwen - the book doesn't do her justice).

I have no idea what to do about our money situation. It feels like we're right back where we were 2 years ago, with everything getting tighter and tighter - only now we have the added burden of the loan we got to straighten ourselves out. *sigh* I just want money worries to go away and leave us alone :( I'm not burying my head in the sand about this - we really need to sort something out. I'd just like one month where I didn't need to think about it.

Sent my ordination application stuff off again - still haven't heard anything. AGAIN! I'm going to ring the Diocesan Director of Ordinands tomorrow, and see if he got the stuff. I don't really know what to do if he didn't - I sent it to the e-mail address that he contacted me from.

I've started thinking about 'Joseph - beyond the technicolor dreamcoat', the mini-series I'm doing at church. I was going to split the story up into 3 bits, but it doesn't work as well as I'd hoped. Instead, I'm going for 3 themes - family, dreams, and triumph. May change the name of the last one. Anyway, Guy and I are going to do some swapping of preaching so that I get 3 Sundays together. That'll take us to the end of October, and then it's the re-launch in November. It's come round so quickly.

Well, another random post comes to an end. I'm so glad I have my LJ. I don't know if writing stuff down really helps solve anything, but it helps to have somewhere to dump it all.

Night, LJ.
