Catch up
An OK week. Had my second session of the Faith & Work course, yesterday. It's really interesting, but there's so much to take in. One interesting question (asked by a solicitor) - are some professions intrinsically more 'godly', or is it the person who performs the role in a 'godly' manner? Well, I think it has to be the person; it is possible, surely, to be an 'ungodly' vicar, but also to be a 'godly' solicitor!
Another thought - I need to try harder to find God in people. He is there, I'm just not looking hard enough!
Neil has been getting on a bit better this week - things are beginning to make sense to him. I think we just don't appreciate the complexity of what we do. Well, I have a whole week without him, next week! He isn't a bad person, by any means. But he is rather draining on my energies.
Mum is bringing my birthday prezzie on Saturday - I'm going to spend all week playing it *grins*
I'm feeling quite good about Sunday's talk. I'm going to give us all a bit of a challenge. Guy suggested I try writing out what I want to say, which I might try. Last week, I kept losing my thread. I'm not going to write prayers, this week. It's just too much.
