A miracle has happened

On Friday the professor finally made a decision. Sort of. He said that he would read my dissertation again over the weekend and if he doesn't find any mistakes that can't be fixed quickly, he'd finally accept it.
He found the last thing to correct on Sunday evening. Since at times like this anything that can go wrong usually does, my computer chose that moment to stop working properly. I fixed it, eventually, with a little help from my mother. It's not perfect, but at least I could edit my work.
On Monday my dissertation was officially ready to be printed. Of course there were some problems with the color printer at the university, and then some more difficulties with binding the books, but eventually it was done. On Tuesday the professor and I delivered the finished product to the dean. I think it's already been sent to be reviewed. If all goes well It might be over by Christmas.
I'm not complaining, but it's weird to be done editing already. It's almost disappointing that I won't be an eternal student forever. Almost. But not quite. Maybe if this had continued for a few more months, I would have gotten too used to it. Maybe it would have become a matter of pride. Maybe a year or so later I wouldn't agree to finish it just like that. I'm afraid I was already starting to think like this. So it's good that it's almost over now.
But I couldn't resist doing this:
