[review]: Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku - 夏の恋は虹色に輝く

Jul 08, 2011 23:36

Actually I've watched this drama last summer, when it was on air, so this is not a review of a 'new thing'. But the other day I watched the making off, and I suddenly remember how much I've liked this drama *_*
So... I wrote it XD NatsuNiji's review!!
(screencaps will be probably subbed :/)Natsu no Koi wa Nijiiro ni Kagayaku - 夏の恋は虹色に輝く

Kusunoki Taiga (Matsumoto Jun) is a Mister 'Second Generation': son of a famous actor, he's an aspiring, super-loser actor; no matter how many auditions he does, he only gets minor roles like manA or policemanB, with only one or two lines. When he has luck. Usually he only appears on varitey shows talking about his father.

But Taiga is a man, like he himself says, 'with lot of money and lot of free time', so, even if he actually has no job, can afford an expensive hobby like skydiving; like I already said, he's a super-loser, so one day, while he's doing skydiving, he accidentaly brokes a string of his parachute, and he arrives in an uknown forest, hung on a tree.
Thanks to a woman who is passing by, Taiga falls on the ground, yes, but at least he manages coming down from the tree O_O

After returning home, he can't get out of his head that 'violent and disrespectful woman' who helped him. So, whishing to see her again, Taiga returns to the crime scene and meets her again, discovering that she's a big fan of his father.
For a series of circumstances, that woman, Kitamura Shiori (Takeuchi Yuko) starts working at Taiga's agency, so they see each other everyday and Taiga is finally able to know her better: Shiori is not only a violent and disrespectful woman, she's also older than him and mother of a six years old kid; and she's the first woman who clearly says to him that he's a terrible actor. The only one who calls him not 'Kusunoki Kotaro's son', but 'Kusunoki Taiga'.
Inevitably, Taiga fells in love with her.

Let's put aside the story for an istant, ok?
This drama is happiness for your eyes: I'll only say that it starts with His Majesty Katsujun in a shower scene. Do you remember the meaningless (but wonderful, oh yes *_*) shower scenes that delighted us in 'Maou'? Well, here's BETTER: because they're longer *ç*

But let's talk about the story. It's a love story, yes, but not only this: it's also the story of a young man who want to bacome an actor without his father's fame's support. And slowly, he grows up.

O be honest I can't stand Shior.  She's annoying!! I understand and respect her sadness for her husband's death, but.. it's been almost 6 years since then, And she's just a nuisance: always crying, never knowing what she wants, always being so 'naive'. Oh, and speaking of it... her reaction to her kiss with Taiga O_O It made me think 'but does this woman even know how children born?'; then I remembered tha she actually has a child O_O
She's so childish, really! I truly don't like her. SO, no screncaps for Shiori è_è

The things I like about NatsuNiji? Everything except for Shiori? XD
Best 3 things of NatsuNiji!

1) Taiga. Really, a wonderful character. Maybe at the beginning he's nothing special, always blaming others for his incapacity as actor. But already during the first episode, when he was crying at his father's grave, I knew that I was already in love with that guy. He's so... sweet and naive. Sensitive. A lot. And I think that his love for Shiori is so gentle and pure! During the drama he finally becomes an grown uo man, both in love and work.
And Jun was good. I have't seen 'Smile' yet, but he had improved a lot since his last work! Also, being a total fangirl, In Natsu he's so handsome!! OMG *_* And Taiga was one of his best character: cool like Sawada Shin (Gokusen), cute like Momo (Kimi wa Petto ♥), rich like Domyouji (HanaDan) and clumsy like Ban Shogo (Bambino) <3<3<3<3

2) Sakura! (Kiritani Mirei) I so love her!!! And NO, I don't like her only because she's played by Mirei. Really (though I like each one of her characters ♥) Sakura has an awesome personality: a bit bitchy and full of herself, but actually so sweet! When she understands she's in love with Taiga!!! *_* But really, Sakura is amazing: a girl that says to the man she loves a think like 'I'll surely make you happy' is so strong and cool! And take a look at the cuteness:

Obviously I've cheered for her all the time u_u
Her and Taiga would have been the perfect couple!! I'm so sad nothing happened between them :(

3) The (too few for me) scenes with Taiga, Keita (Kasahara Hideyuki) and Joe (Nagayama Kento). Pure awesomeness. I love dhow at the beginning Joe was a nuisance for the other two, and then he becomes friends of Keita and everything is more and more funny! Also because usually Taiga is so serious XD But maybe their best scene is the one at ep.9, when Taiga is stupidly happy because finally Shiori has told him 'I like you too'. That was epic! Male friendship is the best *_*

Oh, the last thing: Nino's cameo *_*

Woah, I blabbed a lot O_O
Conclusion: you haven't seen it yet??? Do it!
