David's first birthday
So, David's first birthday was a few weeks ago. We had a fun little party for him during which he played with several other kids (or was played with by other kids, depending on your point of view) and ate almost an entire piece of carrot cake. I've posted photos from the party as well as some more formal pictures we took on his actual birthday.

David now has 6 teeth! #6 came in this Saturday, and #5 was a week earlier. The teething has been pretty hard on him, and he's going through an extremely clingy stage, but he really does try to be good-natured. Michael brought him to the lab yesterday for a visit, and of course everyone thinks he's adorable! He didn't want anyone else to hold him, though. I set him down so he could show off his emerging walking skills (he does very well holding onto my hand) but he just stood there, clutching my leg, and pouting! He used to be so outgoing. I'm sure he'll outgrow this stage in the next few months.
