::will seriously feel guilty for life:: It really did kinda lose all meaning when that was the actual spelling in canon. Stephen was the name of the first Christian martyr--it's totally the reason that Holtz would've picked it. But...canon! ::whimpers, hides in a corner::

No, no, no, no. No guilt! I totally think it's ridiculous, because *yes* to the protomartyrdom of St. Stephen - hellloooooooo. Not to mention that every European monarch and historical church figure has spelled it with the 'ph'.

But canon is what it is! We must accept!
