"Калека с Инишмаана" на Таганке / "The Cripple of Inishmaan" at Taganka Theatre
В Чт открыли театральный сезон Калекой с Инишмана на Таганке. Любопытен был и сам сюжет про бегство в загадочную Америку из захолустья, и то, как его поставят в этом театре.
We started a theatre season last Thu with The Cripple of Inishmaan at the Taganka Theatre. I was attracted by both the plot on the escape to America from a remote location and by the way it was staged in this theatre.
Таганка без Любимова, действительно, преобразилась. Какое вживание в роль! Какая игра! Абсолютно веришь, что Бартли (Карпенко) - это маленький мальчик, который обожает конфеты, а Билли (Котов) совершенно не может прямо ходить и стоять на ногах. Даже эпизоды превращены в этюды театрального мастерства, взять хотя бы первый визит доктора к Мамаше. И саму Мамашу поразительно сыграла Полицеймако, и её сын Джонни Патинмайк в исполнении Трифонова впечатляет.
Конечно, сама пьеса написана своеобразно. МакДонах заставляет героев использовать жаргон, причём они особенно не стесняются зрителей. На фоне этой словесной шелухи ярче видны чувства героев: любовь Кейт и Эйлин к калеке, доброе сердце Бобби. Хотя смотреть и слушать это непросто.
Но кто сказал, что легко рассказывать о судьбе инвалида, который получает шанс сняться в Голливуде? Да, у него не получается, он теряет остатки здоровья, но всё это стóит того, чтобы понять, где твоё место и кто твои настоящие друзья. Речь не о том, что нельзя уезжать, пробовать что-то новое, нет. Важно здесь другое - научиться ценить тех, кто тебя окружает, и видеть сердца за заплатанными лохмотьями.
Taganka has changed indeed after Lyubimov left. What role penetration! What play! You fully believe that Bartley (Karpenko) is a small boy who is fond of sweets and Billy (Kotov) cannot hold or walk straight at all. Even episodes are transformed into etudes of theatre mastership, take for instance the first doctor’s visit to Mammy. Politseymako has played Mammy with excellence and Trifonov is impressive in playing Johnnypateenmike, her son.
The language of the play is specific. McDonagh makes his heroes use jargon and they never care about the spectators. This verbal garbage forms the background to better express feelings of the heroes, Kate’s and Eileen’s caring for the cripple, tender heart of Bobby. But it is not easy to watch or listen to.
But who has said, it would be easy to follow the life of an invalid who gets his chance to act in a film at Hollywood? Yes, he fails and his health deteriorates but this is worth understanding where your place is and who your true friends are. The play does not tell us not to leave or try something new, not at all. What is important is to learn how to value those who surround you and see the hearts behind the patched rugs.
