С некоторым опозданием пишу о своей поездке в Испанию. Ездил по делам, но удалось подробно осмотреть Сарагосу - столицу Арагона. Главной достопримечательностью является Базилика Святой Девы Пилар, возведённая в нынешнем виде в 1686 году.
Базилика в водах Эбро / Basilica reflected in the Ebro
I am a little late posting on my trip to Spain. Was there on business but had time to see a lot of Zaragoza, Aragonese capital. Its main sight is the Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar, erected in the present shape in 1686.
В этом ракурсе видна разноцветная черепица. Подобной в Испании встречать ещё не доводилось. Слева - Каменный мост, построенный ещё при римлянах, а перестроенный в XV веке.
This picture shows multicolored roof tiles. Have never seen anything like this in Spain. To the left, the Puente de Piedra (Stone Bridge) built by the Romans and re-constructed in the 15th c.
Внутри Базилики особенно впечатлил задний алтарь из алебастра.
The Basilica’s interior has especially impressed by the back altar from alabaster.
Из старинных зданий интересна Биржа (1551) с маскаронами, изображающими городские корпорации.
Another ancient building of interest is the Lonja (Stock Exchange), 1551 with mascarons depicting the city guilds.
Из Новой истории вспоминаются осады Сарагосы Наполеоном в 1808 и 1809 годах. В честь героической обороны возвели этот памятник.
The New History recalls the sieges of Zaragoza by Napoleon in 1808 and 1809. This monument commemorates the heroic defenders.
Также любопытен фонтан, изображающий испаноязычные страны Латинской Америки.
This nice fountain takes shape of the Spanish-speaking Latin America.
Но самым трогательным памятником показался этот ослик на месте, где когда-то на настоящем ослике фотограф снимал детей.
But the most touching is this donkey located on the spot used by a photographer to take pictures of kids on top of a real donkey.
