Guh! I love mind!sex and you describe it beautifully. Too bad that it is tinged with the sadness of goodbye. BUt still so very powerful and how much more powerful will Merlin be when he returns!

Thank you! There's seriously not enough kinky!magic use in this fandom yet (or at least not much that I've seen). I'm glad you liked it.

Wonderful! Very hot and very them. So sad and so beautiful at the same time. There's so much to like about this piece, but I think what I loved most was the subversive way Merlin's been teaching Arthur how to tap into the magic himself. I almost feel sorry for bastard!Uther, who doesn't realise how completely he's lost. Well done!

Thanks so much. I totally hope some hot magic sharing or teaching will happen on the show. (It won't but I think Merlin and Arthur learning magic would be adorable for some reason.)

I almost feel sorry for bastard!Uther, who doesn't realise how completely he's lost.

He totally has, hasn't he. Not much can defeat their epic destinylove. Glad you liked it.

And the other thing that's really stayed with me about this story is the idea that all Camelot is now waiting for Arthur to become king - and Arthur's quiet response, despite all this tragic heartache at (temporarily) losing his love, is simply 'Not yet'. He doesn't say 'Yes' or 'No', or 'Promise me you won't, Merlin'. There's a whole story worth of meaning in there. I love it!

I'm glad you liked that. I think there's sort of a passive yet sad acceptance when it comes to Arthur and Merlin. Like Arthur knows he can't do much in Camelot with Uther and his laws still around, but he can't outwardly defy him or remove him from the throne. And then with Merlin (in the story at least), he knows he can't stay there but he doesn't want to let him go just yet. It's like not much is under their control and everything seems to be governed by this destiny they have and they just have to go with it. Poor boys.

This show should totally explore the angsty effects of having a destiny. It would make for so much love.

Beautifully written.

Ps. Why does 1/4 and different numbers over 4 keep popping up????

Thank you. <3

Sorry about the numbers. My computer hates the em dash for some reason. I have no idea why it does this and everytime I use one, I hope that it'll be okay. Total computer!fail. It should be fixed now, though.

Beautifully written. I love the way Merlin shares his magic with Arthur; it's a great concept. I would love to see their reunion, but this is a beautiful piece all on its own.

Thanks! And I will probably write a sequel to this (given that I finish my two original fics for my fiction class first). I'm glad you liked the magic sharing. <3

This is somehow both sweet and angsty, which is a difficult combination to pull off, yet you do it beautifully. And with bonus bottom!Arthur! There's not enough of that in this fandom. ;)

Though, you do have a few formatting issues that are a little distracting, like the 3/4 and such. Also, for this line: Arthur nods his dissent I'm assuming you meant assent, not dissent, since he's agreeing? But other than those few little things this was lovely and I really enjoyed reading it. *g*

Yes! Bottom!Arthur needs to happen more often. Arthur may be the future King, but Merlin's like the most powerful sorcerer in all of history. I think that kinds of trumps.

Wow. Sorry for the English!fail. That was part computer and part me. Both of those things should be fixed now. Glad you liked it despite that.
