Summary: Boys and math can definitely be used for better things.

Peter was never really any good at math. He could appreciate it, sure, but as far as figuring out the complex equations that his schoolmasters gave as homework went: he was clueless.

He learned most of his basic math from the school boys who made rude jokes about dividing legs and subtracting clothes in the almost-empty school corridors before class. Peter listened intently, going mostly on subtext what he was too young to learn from experience, and applying that knowledge to odd little doodles that earned him a week's worth of detention from his math tutor.

His drawings featured mostly girls: their arms and legs, the slashes of the x's used for multiplication and the squares in which he was supposed to fill in the correct signs, the beds. He had no real recollection of their functions in math, all forgotten when the other boys noticed and decided to initiate him into their circle by showing him a few choice magazines.

Years later he only peripherally noticed the same scribbles, (no doubt belonging to Caspian, ever the scholar) that reminded him of his school days, on a desk in one of Caspian's rooms. However, Peter noted with a secret smile, what he equated them with was probably radically different than what Caspian had always used them as.

Peter chuckled a little as Caspian's legs wrapped around his torso.

"What?" asked Caspian, a mixture of self-consciousness and anticipation, as he lay prone beneath the High King.

"Subtract the clothes," Peter said mostly to himself, suddenly remembering all of his makeshift math lessons from years ago.

He nodded at Caspian's body appreciatively but furrowed his brow when he noticed that Caspian was still wearing a loose white shirt. He helped him lever himself up onto his elbows to take it off, face set in determined concentration as if calculating a particularly difficult problem. The shirt was tossed haphazardly to the floor, all ready scattered with pants, two crowns, and some socks.

"Divide the legs." He settled himself more closely to Caspian's body, the light thrusting movement of his hips making Caspian groan in apparent arousal and slight frustration. He made a grab at Peter's hips in order to bring back some of the delicious friction his lover was currently denying, but Peter placed his hands on Caspian's wrists in soft reprimand.

"And," he spoke again, contemplatively. "And this is the most important thing, Caspian. Are you listening?"

At this point Caspian was ready to give into any demand that Peter could think up so he leaned his head up, ears pricked, wondering what could possibly be more important than this moment right here and Peter so

"Remember not to multiply," Peter said teasingly as he raked his nails over Caspian's naked thighs, smiling when he arched into the touch with an exasperated groan, both at the joke and the finally given contact.

"Peter, I hardly think we have to worry about that," Caspian hissed through his teeth and rolled his eyes, eager to move on to more interesting things besides talk.

"No, I suppose not." Peter leaned down to kiss him gently. There were some things that boys and math were just better for.
