It was certainly a bloody interesting night. For me, it was interesting not only because of the probability of another Lycan battle at hand, but also because Regina had phoned and said that she and a friend were coming over.
A lot of things had happened at Wolfram and Hart today, including Regina’s father being murdered by his bosses, the Senior Partners, because he had expressed doubt about Ilona Costa Bianchi and Marcus Hamilton being put in charge of Wolfram and Hart London, from their original locations in Rome, and Los Angeles.
I had offered to kill Regina’s father for her on many locations, as I would do anything for her, but she had always told me that he would get what he deserved, eventually and that I should stay away with killing a CEO of Wolfram and Hart so not to irritate the Senior Partners.
I felt that my offering to kill her father, even though she hated him, was a reason why she had pulled away from me. I couldn’t understand why she had. Our lovemaking was epic. I suited her every need and whim and I pleased her in so many ways. Maybe her father had been a reason behind her not committing to me? It was strange. I wondered how she was now that he had been killed and I wondered who this guest that she was bringing over was. I had often wondered if her father was behind her not committing to me and soon, I hoped to find out, except that bringing a guest hardly meant that she intended to spend quality time making love and committing to me.
Before her, I was more then happy to spend time with numerous bed partners, mostly human, some vampire. Not anymore…Now, I wanted only her and if rejection was eminent, or if she chose not to sleep with me anymore, then I was going to be angry and if she made this declaration tonight, then the Lycans would suffer the punishment for that more then they were already going to.
Harmony, a vampire from America, who had come along with the changes at Wolfram and Hart that Fangdan and I were supposed to become more involved in, had come over and she and Fangdan had recently gone upstairs. Fangdan seemed to fancy her, even though to me, she seemed like a stupid imbecile of a woman. That was fine. I would accommodate her as long as Fangdan fancied her and eventually, he would likely do away with her and all would be settled there, except if we had to deal with her when working with Wolfram and Hart, in whatever capacity that was.
Working with Wolfram and Hart…I did that often, generally helping Regina in one way or another to win a case, generally in strong-arming a prosecuting lawyer, and now, I sat in the foyer, on the lavish leather couch facing the front door, awaiting her arrival. Holmes was posted there, was he frequently kept watch, and when the door knocked I instructed him to let her in. I could smell Regina outside and I found myself excited to see her. I stood, as she entered with a short, but well dressed man. He was human, and probably was a lawyer. I was instantly jealous.
