It was a good thing, in my mind, that Katrina had gone to manchester to handle a little difference of opinion between a couple of the bloody big noises up there, where she would certainly bring pain to those who refused to pay us, which was the tradition for all jobs done in this country. Katrina was vicious and was Fangdan's lover for nearly twenty years. He had made her after Adria and my Brandy had left, like he hadn't missed Adria at all, and it was understanable, at least from the aspect that Katrina was perfect in so many ways. She was beautiful and could take down any two vampires by herself, and had slaughtered two Lycans right in front of our eyes. She was very nearly our match when it came to the battle, and she loved Dan and treated me like a brother, and would have given me more, if I did that sort of thing to Fangdan's suitors. Fangdan created me ten years into his vampiric life after he had caught me with his wife...at least his wife while he had been alive, and her dying wish at his hands was for him not to harm me. So he didn't. He made into what he was and the rest was history. I would never harm him, or vice versa, whether we disagreed or not, and I would never infringe upon his ladies. I hadn't a problem with getting them, myself, anyway, and his siring of Katrina after Brandy and Adria had left, didn't faze me. But, I didn't exactly move on in my own right, either. Brandy was my world, and since she had left, my zeal for being the co-leader of the most powerful legion of vampires in the world, had waned. I didn't depart savagery onto enemies the way that I once did, and though my heart didn't beat, I knew that it was broken because Brandy had left me, just to be with Adria, who let's face it, was an annoying bitch.

It was a good thing that Katrina would be gone for a day, because of two unforeseen factors that had happened and had come across the far-reaching tentacles of our intel. One was, that the Sofilar's were coming to London to kill us, not for the first time, only this time, they were coming as a trio. All three of them were here, and they were leaving a trail of dust in their midst. They were pink and bleeding disgusting, and had holy water in their salivary ducts, that went into good use into killing our kind when they bit us. Our man delivering the news had escaped them, and had escaped their stake-like fingers, but they were out for vengeance. It was a cause for alarm, just as the Lycans were, as were the vampires slayers that had been here over the past three centuries and the other powerful vampires who wanted to show their power by defeating the English legion, which they had never done. Katrina being out of the Sofilar's dangerous intentions was a good thing, for it would be Fangdan, myself and a couple of our more capable lieutenants handling them, permanently, this time, to make sure that our legion didn't lose hundreds of vampires, which could happen when facing the Sofilar demons, which had happened in the past. The weaker weren't made for fighting them.

Katrina being gone was good for another reason. Intel from another of our men, this time coming from the Atlantic coast to the west, as opposed to the Sofilar intel, which from the south and France...let me know something that chilled my blood. Brandy, Adria and their new sired, Justin, who was shagging my Brandy for two decades, had been coming here, and reportedly, according to my man, two female creatures, one blonde and one a brunette, had been killed and a third creature, of unbelievable power, had escaped, and was now coming, with great haste towards us. The fool.

The Sofilar demons picked the wrong time to face me. I would kill them just on principle, and would do so, solo, if necessary, simply because my rage to destroy this Justin was now the only thing on my mind. He had failed to protect Brandy, let alone that he had assumed the mantel of being my eternal love's new boy toy. Soon all of his toys and parts would be dust. I walked into Fangdan's room where he watched television and got an idea of things after another long night of feeding, as day approached. He did that frequently, following wold events. Something was going on in Los Angeles that intrigued him, although reporters, human and flawed, therefore, couldn't properly ascertain the gravity of the situation. Quite frankly, I didn't know exactly what was coming either, although it was large and demonic, which was obvious and similar to Los Angeles' condition last year of permanent midnight, that nearly brought us there.

I was far too consumed with rage over Brandy's death and that Justin hadn't given up his life to try to save her to assimilate corroborative thought. I delivered the news to him about the Sofilar's and then about Adria and Brandy's death's. Fangdan was enraged, which would have created jealousy for Katrina that he was angry over Adria's death. I was with him. For the first time since Brandy had left, twenty years ago, I was ready to return to my old self, and was going to.

Sofilar's and especially Justin, beware. It was just a matter, now, of who would be here first to feel my wrath.
