So my first day of classes was today. This girl who went here a couple years ago told me that Hawaiian Studies 107 would change my life. I laughed really hard at her. But I took it anyway, and as corny as she sounded, I think she was right. There's so much shit that we dont know about Hawai'i on the mainland because its censored by the government. For example, today I learned that the monarchy of Hawai'i was overthrown illegally in the beginning of the 20th century by a couple of American Businessmen. It was then annexed illegally into the Republic, and forced into statehood illegally by OUR lovely government. This is news to me, and I'm shocked&appalled. I guess I shouldn't be. Although, somehow I have a sort of dumb faith in the way things work in the good old US of A..and I have no idea why. Anyway, I bought a printer today for $29.49 & that made my dayy! good old wal-mart. I love how everyone I meet is from a different part of the country. I met a guy tonight at dinner who is originally from San Diego, but after his dad retired from UPS he moved the family to MAUI.. can you imagine? I want my dad to do that! blah its 8:48 and im exhausted. I think I need to take naps during the afternoons like little kids do in order to have an ounce of energy at night. alsjdfa;lfjbye.
